Zayn Malik has wished his former bandmate Louis Tomlinson ‘the best of luck’ with his new baby Freddie, who was born earlier this week.

Speaking on Capital London Breakfast Show with Dave Berry to be aired tomorrow, he says he hasn’t been invited to see baby Freddie but hopes he will get to meet him. Despite favouriting Louis’ picture of his newborn son, Zayn admitted that the pair still aren’t exactly on speaking terms.

“We’ll see if I get an invite,” he said. “Obviously I wish him the best of luck. His kid is cute as f**k so obviously I favourited it. We’re not talking on friend terms obviously, so that’s as far as I can go, by favouriting his picture.”
Zayn hasn’t spoken to his former band mate since he left One Direction in March last year.

Leaving the band to be a ‘normal 22-year-old’, Zayn says this worked out for about two weeks until he was itching to get back in the studio.
He said: “It worked out for about two weeks and I got bored of it. I don’t think I could ever go back to being completely normal. I guess that’s something I accepted, that this is as normal as it gets for me. I just want to make music that I believe in and music that I stand for.”
Zayn’s single Pillowtalk was released today.
