It seems not all of the London mayoral candidates were up for being good sports about Sadiq Khan’s landslide win last night.
The candidates gathered on stage to hear the official announcement around midnight – but when Khan was declared the Mayor of London and stepped forward to make his victory speech, Britain First’s Paul Golding turned his back away from the stage to face the wall in an apparent protest against the decision.
Khan used his speech to talk about his pride that “London has today chosen hope over fear and unity over division” – a notion that seems a bit lost on Golding and his reaction.
People on Twitter thought it was just plain rude.
The Britain First candidate turns his back on Sadiq Khan during his acceptance speech. How rude and disrespectful

What an arrogant and disrespectful being Paul Golding is. Sadiq woud not have done the same had Golding won the vote (God forbid).
